All of us have a memory of a good time. Whether it was with family, visiting an awe-inspiring place, or creating memories with friends......whatever we did consisted of a recreational activity. The problem comes when we're at home bored and have no clue what is available in our surrounding community. Here are a few tips in obtaining a recreational variety to choose from.
1
Go outside!Ok, this sounds like a no brainer, but in all probability you have not discovered all the secrets of just being outdoors.
Gardening - don't have flowers? don't have tools? begin making a space for those shrubs....it passes the time away
Bird watching - sometimes just sitting still outside will help you discover many things. There is more than one kind of bird hopping around on the grass. Make a game out of it. See how many birds you can find in a day and see how many different ones you can discover the next day.
Bark - no, not literal barking, there are many kinds of trees outside your front door, look at their bark see what makes them unique from a different tree, discover the grain of the wood.
Wind - discover how the wind changes the lay of the land, what affects it has on the animals around.
Animals - observe how lizards, ants, rabbits, grasshoppers, etc adapt to their environment with the body they were given.
These are just a few ideas for being outside, the list can easily grow from being on the sidelines to actually being active in the outdoors.

Stay Inside!Yup, I just said the opposite. Hey, somedays require sunscreen and sweat and if you aren't too keen on such feelings then there are many ways to amuse yourself indoors besides the nintendo, x-box, wii, playstation, and blue ray amusements.
Invent - yup exactly what I said, invent! pretend the only item you have in your house is paper and discover how you can make a broom, a purse, a box, a toy out of paper....this requires imagination obviously....so take your time.
Clean - think I just hit a dead wall? well the idea of cleaning is to have fun. Maybe it's that piece of furniture you don't want to throw out but it looks hideous. Clean it and press on to inventing a new use for it. Maybe it's that cluttered office....if you like basketball make a hoop out of the wastebasket hang it high and try to make great shots with your paper that needs to go in the trash! It doesn't hurt to be a kids in a grown up body as far as cleaning goes!
OK, for those waiting for a list of places or "real" things to do here it is!
